Parfum de Binyamina
Where once stood Baron Rothschild’s perfume extract factory—inside century-old stone buildings—Binyamina Winery now crafts its premium wines. In the 1930s, the air here was filled with the jasmine-scented aromas of perfume production; today, it’s the sweet fragrance of grapes. Parfum de Binyamina is a tribute to the rich heritage of both the winery and the Binyamina settlement.
Variety
88% Grenache, 12% Barbera
Appellation
Ramat Sirin, Lower Galilee
-
Color: Pale, clear pink
-
Aroma: Bright and floral, with notes of citrus blossom
-
Palate: Refreshing red grapefruit acidity, lightly sweet hints of wild strawberries and red raspberries.
A short period of barrel aging contributed to the wine’s structure. The blend of Grenache and Barbera results in a well-balanced, vibrant wine—both delicate and refreshing.
The grapes come from a single vineyard situated 300 meters above sea level in Ramat Sirin. Overlooking Mount Tabor and the Nazareth hills to the west, and the Sea of Galilee and the Syrian-African Rift to the east, the site is one of the region’s highest points. It enjoys strong winds, cool nights, and mild, dry days. The basaltic soil is low in nitrogen and rich in phosphorus, supporting balanced vine growth and even, high-quality ripening.
