The wine is produced entirely from Merlot grapes from vineyards in the Galilee and the Golan Heights. A moderate-ripe harvest kept the wine’s freshness and a brief maturing process added to its pleasant complexity.

The grapes are harvested in a nightly harvest and are immediately transferred to root destemming and to a soft crushing. The must is transferred to a natural overnight cold maceration to increase the extraction of color and fruit flavors. Afterwards, the wine undergoes alcoholic fermentation. The wine remains in contact with its skins for about two weeks before crushing. After the press, the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation, fining and clarification in the tank. At the end of the maturation, the blend is created, and the wine is bottled with minimal filtration and stabilization. The wine is great while it’s still young, but with proper storage conditions, it will continue to develop about 3-4 years from the vintage.

Merlot HaMoshava is a deep purple-tinge wine with a rich red-fruit and oak aroma, delicate seasoning and excellent freshness. Its taste is rich and balanced. The mouth reveals a medium and pleasant body which allows enjoying the wine while is still young. It has a slight complexity and a short fruity finish.
